Laid back. Cool. Feel good record.
Latoya Joyce is a Houston singer and song writer who reveals her vulnerability through a place of strength. Joyce’s new song “Come Over” shows us just that.
“Come Over” starts with a voice that serenates; putting you in Joyce’s place of pure vulnerability.
When the guitar quiets, you can hear a pen drop when Joyce sings,
“I’m thinking about you and what I should do
I’m going crazy without my baby, I need you—so just come through
We both said things we didn’t mean. It’s been a while, let’s work things
No more games, I’m gonna say it plain, I want you, I wanna see you”
“Come Over” is an emotional cruise that’s all about the desire to come to an understanding during a rough place in a relationship. Which is something I’m sure we all can relate to.
Two people are playing tough, but Joyce needs clarity and with a voice so melodic she’s bound to get just that.
